Lice infestation is probably the last thing on your mind when boarding an airplane. But, in reality, lice is quite commonly caught during mid-air travel. Lice are fast crawlers. They can survive off their host for up to 2 days. Airlines do not always have time to change the linens between flights. The lice can stay on the pillow and the next passenger can catch it that way.
